Jack Phillips – Masterpiece Cakeshop
Jack Phillips, the Colorado cake artist and owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, has become a nationally recognized advocate for religious freedom after years of defending his right to create custom artistic works consistent with his deeply held Christian beliefs. Through multiple legal challenges, he has remained steadfast in his convictions, choosing to stand by his conscience despite significant personal, financial, and professional costs. His perseverance has made him a prominent voice in the national conversation about the balance between religious liberty, free speech, and anti-discrimination laws. For many supporters, Phillips’ journey is an inspiring example of courage, faith, and unwavering commitment to principle in the face of extraordinary public scrutiny.
Jason McGuire – New York Families Foundation
Jason J. McGuire serves as the Executive Director of New York Families Foundation and its affiliated organization, New York Families Action. Mr. McGuire has been on staff with New York Families since 2007, and has been an integral part of the continued growth and impact of the organization since that time.
McGuire is a passionate defender of Christian principles like the sanctity of life, the sacredness of marriage, the centrality of religious freedom, and the need for a more just and merciful society, and he fervently believes that these principles can only be lived out if the hearts of men and women turn to God. A gifted and accomplished public speaker, Mr. McGuire preaches and teaches at churches and conferences across the state and the nation; also, he is frequently called upon by media outlets for his expertise regarding New York state government and public policy. His radio broadcasts can be heard on Christian stations throughout New York, and his e-mails inform tens of thousands of grassroots Christian activists. Both locally and nationally, Mr. McGuire is widely recognized as a key leader in the pro-life and pro-family movements.
Because of his convictions, McGuire drew the ire of the New York State Attorney General, Letitia James. As a result of Ms. James’ lawfare, in 2025 Jason served 53 days of intermittent incarceration. He knows something of the cost required to follow one’s faith, regardless of the repercussions.
Mr. McGuire attended Davis College in Johnson City, New York, and holds a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, Georgia. Prior to his employment with New York Families, McGuire served as Pastor of the Ingleside Christian Church in Naples, New York. He and his wife, Lorenne, were married in 1996 and have been blessed with four children.

Jake Warner serves as Senior Counsel on the Appellate Team at Alliance Defending Freedom, where he defends free speech, religious liberty, and the sanctity of life.
He was lead counsel in the successful defense of Colorado cake artist Jack Phillips in Masterpiece Cakeshop Inc. v. Scardina, securing a victory at the Colorado Supreme Court after Phillips was sued for declining to create a cake expressing a message that conflicted with his religious beliefs.
Samuel D. Green is the President and General Counsel of Reason for Life, an organization he founded to advance legal and cultural efforts to protect unborn life.
Before launching Reason for Life, he spent five years litigating cases at Alliance Defending Freedom, defending the sanctity of life, free speech, and religious liberty, and also authored a legal brief in the historic U.S. Supreme Court case that overturned Roe v. Wade.
