⁉️Are the kids really fine⁉️ Each time culture has “re-defined” an aspect of the family – or discovered a new pathway towards creating a family – we have made a key assumption: We can do whatever we want, and “The kids will be fine.” Join us for our next lunch event to examine the ways that we have trampled on the rights of children. 👉We re-defined marriage, because adults wanted to affirm themselves in a certain type of union 🏳️‍🌈. The children? – We intentionally inflicted mother-loss or father-loss and assumed they would be fine. 👉We created a surrogacy industry, because adults wanted a guarantee of children.🤰 The children? – We transferred them like property and shipped them across the world, often to households that are not safe. 👉We ran full-speed down the road of IVF, because adults wanted to ensure they could get pregnant. 🧫 The children? – We left 1 million of them in freezers, discarded thousands, and “selectively reduced” thousands of others when “too many” implanted in their mother’s womb. 👉We created a culture of easy-divorce, because adults wanted the freedom to leave. 🚶‍♂️ The children? – We made them bounce between two houses or live without one parent. 🧑‍🧒‍🧒 We must stop placing adult desires over children’s rights. Children have a right to life, to their father and mother, to their medical history, and more.
