We have good news to share! This spring, the United States Supreme Court ruled that states like South Dakota can continue protecting women’s sports. This victory doesn’t just affect us, but enables other states to pass protections as well!

Biology matters. God’s design matters. When we disregard this design, we reap the consequences. One of those consequences is girls losing out on opportunities (or being severely injured) because men and boys are competing in their leagues. Your involvement here in South Dakota played a direct role in this nationwide victory.

You helped secure the win – and here’s how…

First, South Dakota was one of the states to pass the legislation to protect women and girls. These laws were the focus of the legal fight at the Supreme Court. As of today, 27 states have passed clear protections. These laws ensure that only biological females are competing in female sports.

Second, your voice was added to the legal debate at the Supreme Court through an “amicus brief.” These briefs are legal arguments that are formally submitted to the Court, and offer additional legal reasoning for why the justices should rule up or down on a case. Because of your support, SD Family Voice was able to join this legal brief alongside 5 Legislators from South Dakota! You can find the names of the South Dakota Legislators on pages 4 & 5.
