ESPN pushes gender ideology while leftists plan for “Trans Day of Vengeance”

ESPN is celebrating Women’s History Month by pushing an ideology that aims to erase women but claims to be inclusive. Meanwhile, defenders of that same ideology are threatening violence toward those who still believe that basic biology should be respected.

ESPN aired a segment last weekend recognizing “Lia” Thomas, a male swimmer who invaded women’s sports and became the first man to steal an NCAA Division I women’s championship title.

According to The Federalist, ESPN’s parent company The Walt Disney Company even bragged about its plans to “celebrate the breadth and depth of diverse female athletes and female-led stories with a Women’s History Month collection on ESPN+ and content aired on ESPN networks.”

Thomas drew no attention from major outlets like ESPN when he was competing amongst other men because he ranked #462 nationally. But now that he falsely claims to be a woman at the expense of real women, ESPN and countless other companies and outlets are showering him with praise.

“…decades of work spent celebrating the achievements of women are undone when, in the span of just a few years and the change of a swimsuit, a male can be handed a limelight created specifically for females,” writes Jordan Boyd for The Federalist.

The gender ideology that ESPN is pushing is proving to be more than just fallacious and delusional, but extremely dangerous and wicked. It turns out that affirming lies and denying biological reality only leads to disorder and chaos.

In the same week as a horrendous targeted attack against Christians by a woman who identifies as a transgender man, a left-wing activist group known as the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN) is holding a “Trans Day of Vengeance” protest. They have planned approximately 130 rallies in 46 states.

To promote the protest, activists have been spreading the motto “Trans Rights…or Else” with AR-15s on their shirts. Two trans activists have posted photos of themselves with rifles. The press secretary for Arizona’s Democrat Governor posted a tweet suggesting that “transphobes” should be met with violence.

At a pro-transgender protest following the Nashville shooting, at least one activist held a sign that said, “trans girls need guns.” Another activist recorded a video of himself brandishing a gun with the caption, “If you transphobes do try to come for me I’m taking a few of you with me.”

Their message is clear. They do not care about inclusivity or tolerance. They are demanding that everyone accept the deranged doctrine of gender ideology by threatening to use force. This is hardly an inclusive attitude.

On Fox News, Tucker Carlson commented on the rationale behind the left’s Trans Day of Vengeance, saying:

“Why are some trans people so angry and why do they seem to be mad, specifically, at traditional Christians? We can’t think of any trans person who’s ever been murdered by a pastor…It’s not an actual threat of violence from Christians that’s inspiring some trans people to buy AR-15s…The trans movement is the mirror image of Christianity and therefore, its natural enemy. In Christianity, the price of admission is admitting that you’re not God. Christians openly can see that they have no real power over anything, and for that matter, very little personal virtue…The trans movement takes the opposite view. Trans ideology claims dominion over nature itself. ‘We can change the identity we were born with,’ they will tell you…Christianity and transgender orthodoxy are wholly incompatible theologies…One side is likely to draw blood before the other side.”

It’s no surprise that some transgender activists are seeking “vengeance” toward Christians. Despite this, our job is to stand firm in the Truth and refuse to back down from defending God’s Word.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27).
